In 2015 we did Disney the week before thanksgiving. For 2017 thinking of the same week or the first week in December. Which is better?

    Hi Michele!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Walt Disney World during the holidays is my favorite time to visit.  We homeschooled our boys for eight years and we often took them to Disney during the first week of December.

If you're talking about the week BEFORE the actual week of Thanksgiving, then there isn't a big difference in crowd levels between that week and the first week of December.  If you mean the week of Thanksgiving, then I highly recommend the first week of December.  Thanksgiving week is very crowded and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is not usually offered then.  The party should be offered on select nights of both the week before Thanksgiving, and the first week of December.

I like to use the Touring Plans (touringplans.com) website to plan our trips.  They have a handy crowd-prediction calendar that I have found to be pretty accurate.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
