    Hi, we are going to be at Disney for a week starting 9/27. We have always gone in October before and am worried about how long the lines will be and how hot it will be this time around. What have you experienced this time of year?

    Hi Emily! There is good news and bad news!  The lines should actually be less then most weeks in October.  September is generally still considered one of the best times to hit the parks as kids are back in school and fall breaks have not started up yet for schools around the country.

    Now for the not so good news......it most likely will still be quite warm in Florida!  The humidity tends to hang around until mid October and temperatures will still reach into the 90's some days.  But no one can predict weather and since you are coming later in this month you might find things turning around for you where it can be quite pleasant.  When the parks are not crowded the heat is not as much of an issue as the lines are shorter and you are not spending lots of time just waiting instead of doing.  You can also enjoy the water rides such as Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids without worrying about catching cold.  The resort pools are warm but not overcrowded!

    For me there is never a bad time for a visit and I just try to enjoy the magic of the moment no matter what!
