We are going to Disney the 2nd week in Dec. and Mickey's Christmas Party will take place a few evenigs during our trip. Will Magic Kingdom only be open for those attending the Mickey Christmas Party? Is it worth attending?

The Magic Kingdom does close at 7 pm for day guests on nights when Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is held, Michael.  If you don't have a ticket for the event, you will need to exit the park at that time.  As for whether or not it's worth attending, it's tough to say.  If you are going in hopes of experiencing some festive fun like the Christmas parade and cookies and cocoa on Main Street, then yes, by all means by a ticket for the party.  On the other hand, if you're just going to treat it as a regular park day and are hoping to experience attractions without waits, you might be disappointed.  If it were my decision, I'd base it on whether or not I was in it for the festivities or the attractions and go forward accordingly.
