Disney website says Dumbo has to be "within the required pacing requirements." I'm worried since when I did the princess half I took over 4 hours net time since I was stopping lots for photos. Will I now have to finish in under 3:30?

    Hi Kelly!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

To earn both medals of the Dumbo Double Dare, you just need to finish both races within the pacing requirements.  Basically, it means you need to finish the race without being swept by the pacers that start at the end of all runners.

There will be official pacers that start after the last runner crosses the starting line.  As long as you are in front of them, you will be fine and receive your medals.  These pacers will ride along at a 16-minute mile pace.  The higher your corral placement and closer you start to the front of it, the more of a time cushion you will have over the pacers.

I do recommend training at a 15-minute mile pace. This will give you some time for photos and bathroom stops.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
