Hello, Barry! Thanks for cruising to us at planDisney. Welcome!
You are just days away from your adventure at sea so let's get to it. Yes, if you are a U.S. citizen, you may bring a copy of your child's state-issued birth certificate as
proof of citizenship for your Disney Cruise. Even though the copy says "void", it will still be acceptable as you check in at the port.
As you've got a child in your sailing party, I encourage you to visit an
Open House in the youth spaces onboard the ship on the day you embark. Open Houses are times when the entire family can visit the play areas and kids can meet the Crew Members who lead activities. It's a great time for younger ones to be introduced to all the fun that is just for them!
Adults won't be left out of the fun either because there are some wonderful adult-exclusive areas onboard as well. You can visit the
Quiet Cove pool area for a relaxing and refreshing dip in the pool or to lounge in the sun or shade. If you are looking for a fine dining experience,
Palo (or
Palo Steakhouse aboard the Wish) is a fantastic option for a delicious meal in an elegant atmosphere.
I wish you a very happy sailing, Barry. Enjoy making some magical memories!
