Which of the Disney water parks would you recommend for a 12 yr old girl and her parents? We are staying at POR. Should we take our own towels? How much to rent a towel there? Thank you.

    Hi again Jill,

This is a tough question to answer as both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park are both amazing places to spend a day.

My 13-year old son has always loved to visit both but Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park has always remained his absolute favourite since his very first visit back in 2009.

There is just something about the chilled out vibe of the park, not to mention the Surf Pool where he could literally stay all day and his favourite water slide Crush 'n' Gusher.

That said, Disney's Blizzard Beach is also a lot of fun and if you will be visiting between 27 May 2016 and 21 August 2016, your daughter will be able to take part in the 'Frozen' Games which look fantastic. You can read all about them in the Disney Parks Blog Post from 3 May 2016 titled "Frozen Games Begin May 27 at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park".

To be perfectly honest, you really can't go wrong with either one of them and if your itinerary allows it, I would definitely recommend a day at both.

You are free to take your own towels with you to either of the 2 Disney Water Parks or, alternatively, you can hire towels for $2 per person.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
