Hi Barbara! Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you are planning a magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth this week. Get ready for some
Halloween Time fun at every turn starting at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. with the giant Mickey pumpkin and ending with the
Halloween Screams fireworks lighting up the night above Sleeping Beauty Castle! You are in for a BOO-tacular time!
As a fellow
Disney® Rewards Visa® card holder, I am well versed in some of those pixie-dusted perks that come along with using this little piece of the magic. When it comes to using your rewards dollars, you can transfer them to a Redemption Card through your account on the Chase website and order the card online to be mailed to your home. Alternatively, you can pick one up at select locations in the Disneyland Resort! It sounds like you will need to pick one up in the parks, so let's focus on that option. Currently, redemption cards are available at the following
Guest Relations locations:
- Guest Relations at City Hall inside Disneyland Park
- Guest Relations at the Chamber of Commerce inside Disney California Adventure Park
- The Guest Relations window at the entrance to Disney California Adventure Park
When in doubt, ask a Cast Member! They are always more than happy to point you in the right direction. While you are in the parks, don't forget to continue to take advantage of the Disney Visa Card perks! You will have access to a 10% discount on merchandise purchases of $50 or more at select locations as well as 10% off select dining locations on most days. I have the Tinker Bell card and get so excited every time I get to use it!
One of the standout benefits for me is the
special photo opportunities! When you are in
Disney California Adventure Park, head to
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley To the Rescue! in Hollywoodland. Show your Disney Visa Card, and you will have access to an exclusive character interaction with one of your favorites! I know I recently saw some friends snapping a selfie with Minnie, but the character of the day will always be a surprise! You will even get complimentary downloads of the photos taken so those memories can last forever. Typically, the photo spot is only open mid-morning to early afternoon, so be sure to check timings if you plan to include this in your park day.
Barbara, I sure hope this was helpful and that you are able to start redeeming those Disney dollars! If you have any more questions about your planning, you know where to find us here at

Magic awaits!
