Between the dining and merchandise savings, special photo opportunities, and the ability to earn Disney Rewards Dollars, it is something I lean on for my own vacations. To answer your question directly, even though your Disney Visa is linked to your My Disney Experience app, that alone will not apply any Disney Visa discounts. To receive the dining or merchandise savings, you need to let the Cast Member know you want to use the Disney Visa discount and then pay with your physical Disney Visa Credit Card or your Disney Rewards Redemption Card at the register. The discount will not apply automatically through the app, mobile checkout, or room charges.
