Hi this will be our 1st Disney vacation. We would like to stay at the Polynesian Resort. How can we stay at a Deluxe Resort and not break the bank with 3 teenagers?

Hi, Jennifer!   The Polynesian is a beautiful resort, I can understand while you want to stay there!

There are some ways to save some money.   First, try checking HERE for special offers.  You will find the latest offers from Disney that sometimes include room discounts, free nights, or free dining.  You can also try to go during Value Season (dates in January, September, early/mid December) when rates are at their lowest.

If you are a AAA member, call (407)W-DISNEY and ask for a AAA rate to see what is available.   Also get on e-newsletters from www.allears.net and www.mousesavers.com to keep up to date on any deals.

If the Polynesian ends up being out of your budget range, there are some great Moderate Resorts.   Coronado Springs has queen beds and newly refurbished rooms, and Port Orleans French Quarter is quaint and my kids favorite place to stay!

Do some research for the best deal and hopefully you will be lounging on the beautiful Polynesian beach very soon!   Good luck.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
