Hello. I have my Disney vacation coming up shortly. I don’t understand if I have to make park reservations with my tickets. Can someone please confirm? Thank you. Carolina

    Royal greetings, Carolina!

A warm welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm so excited to hear that you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth so soon. I bet you can hardly wait for your enchanting escape! As you count down the minutes until the clock strikes midnight and it's time for your wondrous getaway, I'd be happy to help you understand current theme park reservation requirements.

Carolina, at the time of writing, only a few theme park ticket types require theme park reservations for use. If you've purchased a date-based theme park ticket - with either single-day or multi-day admission - then you can rest assured knowing that you do not need to make a separate theme park reservation. A good rule of thumb to follow is if you've selected a start date for your theme park admission, you can be relatively certain that you don't need to make a separate theme park reservation. The current 4-Park Magic Ticket and the 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket also do not require reservations. Alternatively, tickets that do require theme park reservations include:
    • Annual Passes
    • Disney Military Salute Tickets
    • Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets
    • Sport and Convention tickets
    • Student/group tickets
If you still aren't sure about whether your admission type requires theme park reservations, you're certainly welcome to reach out to the friendly Cast Members at the Existing Tickets phone line for additional information. Just be sure to have your confirmation email and/or ticket ID number handy to reference if needed! If you do need to make a theme park reservation, this can be done within My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Carolina, I hope you've found this information helpful and I wish you a most magical and memorable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any additional vacation planning questions before your departure, you're more than welcome to revisit us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
