How much is Disney Vacation Club

    Hi there, William,

Welcome to planDisney! You've come to the right place to chat about the Disney Vacation Club, my pal Susan and I are ready to answer any questions you have about a Disney Vacation Club Membership.

My family jumped in and became Disney Vacation Club Members twelve years ago and have enjoyed many trips to Walt Disney World Resort, and Disneyland Resort, in addition to vacations at the DVC Beach Resorts. Each trip looks slightly different and we like to stay at different resorts to experience the unique themes and amenities. It's important to look at how your family likes to vacation to determine whether a Membership is a good fit.

During one of our Walt Disney World Resort vacations, we visited the DVC Preview Center at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, conveniently located near the High Rock Spring Pool. There, a friendly DVC Guide took the time to learn about our vacation habits—how often we travel, the size of our travel party, and the resorts we love most. They helped us determine the perfect number of Vacation Points to fit our unique needs, ensuring our Membership would make every trip as magical as possible.

Once you’ve decided on the ideal number of Vacation Points for your family, the next step is choosing a Home Resort. The price per Point varies by resort and serves as the primary cost of Membership. Eligible Members also access exclusive perks, including discounts on dining and merchandise, special event ticket savings, and invitations to Member-only events.

The initial cost can be paid upfront or financed with a deposit (subject to eligibility). Since it’s a real estate transaction, closing costs and fees are required. Beyond this, the only ongoing expense is your Annual Dues, calculated based on the number of Points you own at your Home Resort. These dues cover maintenance and upkeep to ensure the resort remains in top-notch condition for Members and Guests. You can choose to pay your dues annually or in monthly installments.

When it’s time to book your stay, you can make reservations at your Home Resort up to 11 months in advance, while bookings for other resorts open 7 months prior. This is why choosing a Home Resort you love is a smart move!

To explore Disney Vacation Club further, you can request a free Key to the Magic on the DVC website. This resource unlocks exclusive videos showcasing DVC resorts and vacation experiences, giving you a glimpse into the magic of Membership.

For personalized assistance, I recommend reaching out to Disney Vacation Club directly. Their knowledgeable Guides are ready to answer all your questions and guide you through the process. You can connect by calling (800) 500-3990, scheduling a virtual meeting, or attending a live webinar through the DVC website. The Guides are there every step of the way to ensure your journey to becoming a Member is seamless and enjoyable.

William, I hope this answers some of your questions about a Disney Vacation Club Membership. If you have any other questions, please visit us again at planDisney. We are happy to assist!

    Happy planning,
    Candace
