Hi Covina,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am happy to discuss Disney Vacation Club!
Disney Vacation Club is a vacation ownership program. One way to think of it is as a flexible timeshare. Disney Vacation Club members purchase a real estate interest. For this, you receive an annual allotment of Vacation Points. You can choose the number of Vacation Points that you purchase. Then, each year, you can use these Vacation Points in different ways. For example, you can stay in accommodations from Deluxe Studios up to three-bedroom Grand Villas. You can choose to stay for a week, or maybe come for a couple of long weekends. The Vacation Points required to book different accommodations depend on size, time of year, and location. Over the years, I have used our Vacation Points to book a two-bedroom villa at Disney's BoardWalk Villas that was large enough for myself, my husband, my daughter and all of the grandparents. I have also used Vacation Points to book a Deluxe Studio at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort to spend a long weekend with a friend. There are so many possibilities! There is even the opportunity to explore vacation destinations around the world through the World and Concierge Collections.
Do check out the
Membership 101 section of the Disney Vacation Club website. From this site you can also order a DVD about Disney Vacation Club. If you are able, I also suggest taking an
Open House Tour. These tours are so low-pressure, and your Vacation Guide will be able to answer questions specific to your situation.
If you do decide to become a member of Disney Vacation Club Covina, it will be so magical the first time you hear those words, "Welcome Home!"
