Hello, Melynda! We're so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Several yEARs ago, a Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts survey revealed that one in five grandparents have been on a Disney vacation with grandchildren. I think it's so wonderful when grandparents can give the gift of a Walt Disney World vacation, especially when it includes spending time with their little Mouseketeers!
Disney's policy states that guests 18 and older need to
provide proof of a Florida residential address in order to purchase a
Florida Resident theme park ticket or Annual Pass, so as long as your kiddos are still minors, it will be fine. Your grandparents will have to show proof of Florida residency to activate the tickets only on the first day, by visiting a
Guest Relations window at any of the theme parks. As an alternative, they can also go to the
Disney Springs Ticket Center-- you can even do this the day before visiting the Parks. If you have any questions, call (407) 939-7679.
By the way, Walt Disney World is kicking off the New Year with a special Florida Resident ticket offer. Look into the details of the
Discover Disney Ticket and see if it works for your trip. These tickets can be used any days through June 30, 2020, with no blockout dates.
I hope you have a magical vacation, Melynda!
