We are going to Disney this upcoming weekend and staying at All Star Sports. Can you advise if they have updated their rooms? Was really hoping due to their long closure they would have been updated like other resorts.

    Hiya Kelly,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited that you will soon be at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Be sure to check out the newly reimagined Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom Park during your visit. My favorite treats are the Main Street Glaciers. With the temperature rising in Orlando, one of those ice-cold treats will bring welcome relief from the Florida Sunshine.

Speaking of reimaginings, like you, I was anxious to see if Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort would be different upon its reopening. After reaching out to a Cast Member, I can confirm that Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort has not undergone the renovations that other Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels have. It will be the same resort you know and love (carpet included). Although there is definitely some comforting about things staying constant with everything changing around us, I’m sure Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will follow suit and experience its own updates in the future.

This upcoming weekend, I hope you have the most magical time at Walt Disney World Resort. The weather is not currently showing rainy conditions, but I’ve been caught in enough midday downpours to pass along this little piece of advice. Pack extra socks, a foldable poncho/rain jacket, and a mini umbrella. You may not need it, but you definitely don’t want to get caught without it.

If there is anything else we can help with, please come back and see us!

    Happy Planning!
