Hi! I will be in Disney in two weeks with my daughters ages 14,11,and 4. Its our first time and I have no idea where to start with rides and meeting characters. What are the wait times like for July? Also, how's the weather?

    Hi there, Kayla!

First off, I'm visiting Walt Disney World right now, and I can sum up the weather in one word. Hot. No - two words. Darned hot. But even for someone like me, who is not a heat lover, with plenty of water and the available shade and indoor attractions, it hasn't been bad at all.

Do you have a My Disney Experience account? I would say start there. You can use the app or the online tool to book FastPass+ attractions and Dining Reservations

FastPass+ allows you to schedule three park experiences, and can lead to shorter wait times for those three attractions. You can use them for rides or character meet and greets, so when you go to book them, I'd ask the girls which attractions they'd like to do. You can all do the same attractions, or you can book different ones for each individual.

There are character meet and greets throughout the parks, and you'll usually see posted times in the daily schedule available at the theme parks. If you haven't booked a FastPass+ for a meet and greet, it will give you the wait time for standby when you arrive.

I can't give you a good handle on wait times, because it really varies. The newest attractions, such as those in Toy Story Land had waits of more than an hour. But there were plenty of 20-30 minute waits at other attractions. The more of a thrill ride it is, it seems the longer the wait.

Have a wonderful time with your princesses!
