2nd Disney Trip end of August 2015. Their will only be 4 people however I don't know if I should pick a family suite or standard room. I will like to be close to the main part of the resort but I also don't want to waste money. Please help

    Hello Renee!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. I'm assuming you are referring to Disney's All-Star Music Resort or Disney's Art of Animation Resort since they both have family suites. If you are booking a suite just to be closer to the main lobby, then for me, it's not worth the extra money. I would rather spend the money saved on snacks and character meals.

Yes, the Little Mermaid standard rooms are the furthest away from the lobby, food court, etc, at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, but not enough to justify the price difference, in my opinion. However, I would spend the extra money for a family suite if you are looking for extra space, a kitchenette, extra beds, and an extra bathroom. That is worth the money to me!

When I am on a tighter budget, I usually sacrifice somewhere. Sometimes I splurge on accommodations. Sometimes I splurge on dining. Sometimes I splurge on extra activities like La Nouba or watercraft rentals. I would choose what is most important to you and your family.
