Hi Amy! Thanks for your question and for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
In short, the answer is yes! My wife and I aren’t big eaters either, so typically we share meals while at Walt Disney World… unless we’re at
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria within Epcot. It’s our favorite and we totally indulge!
As an adult, if you prefer a selection on the children's menu while you dine at a Walt Disney World Resort restaurant, you are certainly welcome to order it. While I’ve not done this myself, I have heard of people who have done this before. The only exception is when it comes to dining at a buffet style restaurant.
As a side note, during my last trip to Batuu (which is quite far from my hometown), I stopped by
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo to try Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread which includes plant-based meatballs, herb hummus, tomato-cucumber relish, and pita. Let me tell you, it was a perfectly sized meal and out of this world!
If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a magical day!
