So I have a Disney trip already booked and paid for at the Disney Wilderness Campground .. we are bringing our own camper .. is there any special instructions for bringing our own camper? Does a guest have to bring our camper in? I’m confused

    Hello Jaid!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney. We're delighted that you've reached out to us while planning your stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. You're in for a truly enchanting adventure filled with Disney magic and the rugged beauty of nature.

Bringing your own camper to The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is a wonderful way to experience the great outdoors while remaining close to the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you arrive at the resort, you can bring your camper to your reserved campsite yourself. The friendly cast members at the check-in location will provide you with a map and any other information you need to easily find your way around the campground. If you have any special requirements or questions upon arrival, they will be happy to assist you to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Recently, there have been some rule changes at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground regarding vehicles, carts, RVs, and recreation devices. (Since you have an upcoming reservation, check your email in-box as emails went out. I have a reservation in November and recently received one as well.) If you're bringing your own RV, you'll need to bring it in yourself as a registered guest, just like before. However, Disney now offers four Featured Providers for guests wishing to rent an RV at the campground. If you choose to rent from one of these providers, you won’t need to be present for the delivery. The provider will coordinate with Disney Resort Cast Members to manage delivery, setup, and return of the rented RV.

As for getting around, you can rent a golf cart directly from Fort Wilderness. You can make advance reservations by calling 407-824-2742, or visit the Outpost when you arrive to pick one up, subject to availability. If you bring your own golf cart, starting June 1, 2024, you'll need to present proof of insurance and sign an agreement and waiver for the safety of everyone at the resort. Please remember that third-party businesses aren't allowed to operate on Walt Disney World property, so ensure any equipment you bring or rent is authorized. For more details on these changes and other property rules, visit Rules and Regulations.

A helpful tip for your visit is to take full advantage of the amenities at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, like the Fort Wilderness Trading Post for snacks and groceries, horseback riding, and fishing. You can also enjoy classic Disney entertainment at Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long or rent a golf cart to explore the extensive grounds. If you need further assistance or have more questions, don't hesitate to return to planDisney.

Wishing you a magical stay and lots of fun under the stars!
