1st Disney trip & ADR newbie. What should I have on hand when making online ADRs? Can I make them all at once? Some are for character dining (we'll be on a dining plan). How do I reserve w/ a dining plan or do I put it on a credit card and transfer lat

    Hello Amanda!
A big CONGRATULATIONS on taking your 1st trip to Walt Disney World, a lot of magic is waiting for you!A perk to staying on Disney property is that guests can make dining reservations 180 days +10 from their date of arrival. When you are exactly 180 days from your check-in, you can make your dining reservations for your check-in day plus the next 10 days. This keeps you from having to make reservations over a several days and you get a head start on securing hard to get reservations such as the new Be Our Guest.

Dining reservations can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE,you will need to have on hand your resort reservation number, a credit card and you list of reservations Your resort confirmation number should alert the cast member you are on Disney's Dining Plan, but let them know just in case. Popular meals will require a credit card guarantee, your credit card will not be charged unless you are a no show or do not cancel within 24 hours of your reservation time.If you fail to cancel these reservations, you will be charged $10 per a person.Certain signature meals require pre-payment, but if you are on the dining plan your credit card will just be held as a guarantee.
Here's a couple of tips to help you out!
    • Online Reservations Open at 6:00 a.m.,phone reservations open at 7 a.m. this will give you an extra hour to secure those hard to get reservations.
    • Try not to book on the hour, instead of 8:00 dinner reservation try ask for 8:15 or 8:25 reservation.
    • Reserve the more popular meals first, they go fast!
    • If you don't get a reservation, don't give up!  Keep checking because you never know when someone will cancel, I have been able to get several reservations by checking back closer to my check-in date.
I hope this helps get you started and please let us know if you have anymore questions!
