Hi! We have a Disney trio planned for March & I have a 10 year old. I read the website, does my child need to have a covid test done prior to entering? Your answer would be so helpful, thank you

Hey there Glenyza! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I see your trip is just a few short weeks away!

As you may have seen on the Disneyland website's Experience Updates page, the State of California strongly recommends that Guests are vaccinated or tested prior to their arrival at Disneyland Resort. This is a recommendation, but not a requirement. We encourage you to do what you and your family are most comfortable with prior to visiting the parks. In other more recent updates, masks are now optional at Disneyland Resort for vaccinated guests. Masks are still required for all Guests, regardless of vaccination status, on Disney shuttles and in certain indoor locations, such as First Aid.

Just be sure you have theme park ticket reservations for each day you plan to visit the parks and you should be all set!

Protip: The weather right now is fluctuating quite a bit. Most days you will be able to soak up the warm Southern California sunshine, but our mornings and evenings have been quite chilly. I definitely recommend a warm jacket/coat to throw into a backpack or renting a locker if you don't want to carry them all day.

Glenyza, I hope this information helps you check off one more item on your to-do list as you prepare to enjoy a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
