On the Disney Treasure, are teens required to have a physical key card to get into the teen club, or can they use their Magicband?

    Ahoy, Tiffany!

Welcome back to planDisney! The Disney Treasure is such an incredible ship, and with all the adventure and storytelling packed onboard, it already feels like stepping into the world of Aladdin before you even leave the port!

You are absolutely on the right course with your question. At this time, teens visiting Edge or Vibe are still required to use their physical Key to the World card for club access rather than their DisneyBand+. My crew and I were hoping during our recent sailing that the youth spaces would fully transition to DisneyBand+ access, but Disney hasn’t quite made that leap just yet.

When we registered our kids for Edge, the Cast Member placed a small sticker directly onto their Key to the World cards for club access. For Vibe, we had to make sure the cards were fully registered with the club team before access would work properly. Since the Key to the World cards are typically waiting at your stateroom on embarkation day, we had to wait until the rooms opened before heading over to finish registration.

Now, while that may not be the magical answer you were hoping for, there is at least a little pixie dust on the horizon. Disney has already tested alternative options on some ships, including small silicone or plastic band charms that slide onto the DisneyBand+ instead of using stickers on the Key to the World card itself. There’s no official word yet on whether those options will eventually roll out fleetwide, but it definitely shows Disney is exploring ways to make the process smoother for kids and teens onboard.

So for now, I would definitely plan on your teens carrying their Key to the World cards with them anytime they head to Edge or Vibe. My family usually finds a lanyard works really well for this since the cards tend to travel all over the ship faster than Stitch after too much coffee.

I hope this helps as you get everything squared away before embarkation day! Even with the Key to the World card requirement, Edge and Vibe are such fun spaces for tweens and teens to hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy a little independence onboard the Treasure.

Sea ya real soon with warm air, calm seas, and a ship that always feels like home,
