I will be on Disney Treasure this summer. What areas of the ship are not-to-be-missed?

Ahoy there, Melissa! Welcome back to planDisney!

Your cruise aboard the Disney Treasure is coming up, and I’m so excited for you! This is such a fun time because planning your Disney cruise is just as much fun as taking it (at least I find that to be true!). I love your question because I just sailed on the Disney Treasure recently and fell absolutely in love with it! Therefore, I would love to share all the fun areas on board that should be included on your must-visit list!

I’ve been on almost every Disney cruise ship and truly love them all equally. But the Disney Treasure quickly worked its way into my heart for one thing: the attention to detail. So, one must-do on board the Disney Treasure is to take in all the decor details during your cruise. You’ll find doorways that are magic-carpet themed, rugs themed to Agrabah, and the details in Plaza de Coco are unbelievable. The stunning ofrenda alone is a must-see spot! I took one too many heartwarming pics next to the photo of sweet Mama Coco here!

Another must-visit location on board is the Haunted Mansion Parlor. If you’re a fan of the Haunted Mansion movie or attraction in the Disney Parks, you’re going to love visiting here! You really will feel like you were transported there, and there are plenty of beverage options, including for kids, who can enter before 9 PM each day. You can also take some beautifully spirited photos during one of the many photo sessions on board. Check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for photo times and days, which are always subject to change.

I also love visiting Hero Zone. This is where you can find all the sporting and recreational activities on board, such as foosball, basketball, air hockey, and, most incredible of all, the Incredi-Course!

One of my favorite parts of each Disney cruise evening is the show in the Walt Disney Theater, and the Disney Treasure is no exception. I suggest prioritizing watching Disney The Tale of Moana and Beauty and the Beast in your fun schedule. My recommendation is to arrive about 20 minutes early for both shows, as they’re super popular events exclusive to the Disney Treasure.

My kids also loved visiting Jumbeax’s Sweets on board, and still talk about how delicious the ice cream was! They can’t wait to go back and savor it once again, so I highly recommend delighting in this dessert parlor, where you can find all types of delicious sweet treats. One of the best parts is that you can order desserts from here and ask for them to be delivered to your Main Dining restaurant, too!

I'd also recommend grabbing coffee or a beverage from one of the unique coffee shops on board, such as Hei Hei Cafe. If you love sweet coffee drinks, you will love the Salted Caramel Coconut Latte, as it's a Disney Treasure exclusive specialty.

Lastly, I'd recommend making sure to keep an eye on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the hours and detailed activities happening at each of these areas.

Melissa, I hope I was able to offer many wonderful suggestions. I wish you the most TREASUREd memories on your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
