Disney Treasure - we are a family of 4 and are going on the cruise with a family of 5. Is there any way for a party of 9 to sit together for dinners?

Ahoy, Erin! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about sailing where magic meets the sea.

If you are cruising with another family and your entire party will occupy multiple staterooms, then the easiest way to tell Disney Cruise Line that you are sailing together is by linking the reservations. That will help the dining team assign you to the same table during rotational dining and will also make it easier to plan other activities that you may want to do together like Port Adventures.

You can link the reservations yourself by following these simple steps:

    • Start by going to the main Disney Cruise Line website and clicking on the tab at the top right labeled “Already Booked.”
    • Select the option labeled “My Reservations” under “My Disney Cruise” and you will be asked to login to your MyDisney account.
    • Once you login, a page will open showing your upcoming cruise and there will be a drop-down box on the right hand side that lists your reservation number.
    • If you click on your reservation number, there will be a blue link at the bottom of that drop-down box that says “Add and Link Reservations.”
    • Click on that blue link and that will open up a new page where you can add the other staterooms to link everyone together.

Before you can complete this process, you will need to have the booking confirmation number for each stateroom as well as both the last name and date of birth for the primary guest staying in each stateroom. Be aware that the system does share all of the details for each reservation when you link them together, so any balance and payment information will be visible.

Once all of your party’s staterooms are linked together, you will also need to confirm that everyone has the same dining time. You can use the same “My Reservations” tab on the website to open each reservation separately from the drop-down box and scroll down the page to find the assigned dining time in the white box labeled “Dining.” If all of the reservations already have the same dining time assigned, then you are good to go. But if some staterooms have early seating and others have late seating, then you will need to switch all of them to the same dining time in order to be seated together for dinner. The reservation page for each stateroom should have a blue “Change Seating” link in the “Dining” box to make the necessary changes.

Since you will not be sailing until March, I hope that you will be able to get everyone assigned to the same dining time without any issues. However, early dining can fill up, so it may indicate that the early seating option is not available anymore. Don’t panic if that happens, because there are alternatives. You can always switch all of the reservations to the late seating option or add your party to the waiting list for the early dining time. You can also always call Disney Cruise Line directly and ask them to make a note in your reservation that your entire party is trying to be assigned together for rotational dining at the early seating and they will do the best they can to have everyone dine together.

I know that your entire sailing party will have a fantastic time exploring the spirit of adventure aboard the Disney Treasure next year. If you have any other questions before embarkation day, then reach back out to us at planDisney any time. Happy sailing!
