Hello Martin!
Welcome to planDisney. We often travel to the
Walt Disney World Resort with family and friends and so I have quite a bit of experience going with large groups. I’m so glad you’ve stopped by with this question. It’s always easier to plan these things out in advance.
You are already on the right track. If the other two adults want to be able to manage their
Genie+, mobile orders, or
dining reservations, they should have their own
My Disney Experience Accounts. I typically recommend that most adults have their own account, unless they really just want to go with the flow and follow the leader. This is what my dad does. He doesn’t want to be the decision-maker, just tell him where to be and when!
What I see happen is that the trip planning begins and the planner is so excited to get things started that they just add the other party members as “Guests I Manage,” so they can link reservations. The issue is that when the trip happens, the other adults cannot do anything on their own. It is best to have the other adults create their own accounts. Then use the
Family & Friends tool to link you all together. Then you can assign their reservations and tickets to them. This will allow them to sign in to their account on their mobile device and make adjustments to the plans on the go. When you are in the parks and ready to make Genie+ selections, each person with an account will be able to select just themselves, or anyone they are connected to via Family & Friends!
I hope this helps get your planning off to a great start, Martin. Know that planDisney is here to help with your questions along the way, so feel free to submit more questions as your trip approaches.
Happy Planning!
