Greetings, Gene!
Welcome to planDisney! Planning a Walt Disney World vacation is exciting, but it can be a little overwhelming, especially during the busy holiday season. I'm happy to point you to a couple of great options for assistance with booking the visit that is right for you.
First, you can
call the Walt Disney World Tickets & Hotel Reservations line to speak with a cast member who can help you find and book the resort reservations, theme park tickets and, if you choose, dining plan that fit your needs. They can let you know what discounts or special offers apply to your trip as well, including
offers for members of the military.
If you are looking for more assistance -- booking flights, dining reservations, transportation, Lightning Lanes and other details -- you might want to seek out an independent travel agent. I recommend choosing an Authorized Disney Travel Planner who is "Earmarked by Disney." Those agents are specially trained and certified in all things Disney planning.
And working with a travel agent generally does not add any cost to your trip, so that's a bonus.
I always think the best way to choose a travel agent is to ask friends and family if they have a person or agency they recommend. Otherwise, a quick online search for "Authorized Disney Travel Planner" should give you lots of choices. You may even want to talk with more than one to find the person you are most comfortable working with.
The
holidays are a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World, Gene, with all the festive decorations, the special activities such as the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, the
Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs and more.
They are also one of the busiest times, so I suggest making your plans as soon as possible. If you have further questions about planning your vacation or would like recommendations on resorts, restaurants, activities or attractions, planDisney is the place. Check back with us any time, and we're happy to help, based on our personal experiences as long-time Walt Disney World guests.
Wishing you the merriest of holiday visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth,
Wilma
