Been to Disney many times-traveling with 2 teenage girls-have stayed 4X Pop, stayed 4X Port Orleans French. Was just thinking of maybe trying AOA - but am wondering how far it is to walk. Standard Mermaid room would be our choice. Dont mind SHORT stroll

    Hi Colleen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’ll be honest, I stayed in a Cars Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort with my family last year and, for fun, we walked over to The Little Mermaid section of the Resort… and walked… and walked… and walked. It’s a beautiful section but if limiting the amount of time that you’ll be walking is important to you, I would recommend against staying there during your family’s upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

If, however, you can splurge on a Family Suite room (HIGHLY recommended) or if you decide that you don't mind a long walk back to your room, Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a really fun Resort with an amazing Big Blue Pool and a great food court, Landscape of Flavors. I think that your girls would absolutely love staying there. Plus, while the Little Mermaid rooms are rarely eligible for any Special Offers, the Family Suites often are, which may make it a more affordable option for your family.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
