We have been to Disney many times--summer, early fall, and Halloween time. We are now looking at late Jan/early Feb or May 20-25. In your opinion, which time would be better? I'm concerned about cooler weather in Feb. and getting my restaurants booked.

    Kim:

In my opinion, your May dates offer you more options at Disney, simply because of the warmer weather.  You didn't mention which resort you're at, but almost every pool on Disney property is a draw, and to enjoy them to the fullest, the warmer month of May may be a good fit.  If you're trying to make a decision based on crowds, though, January/February may be the answer you're looking for as long as you avoid the MLK and President's Day holiday weekends.

But the tie-breaker may come down to restaurant reservation availability.  Disney just switched their dining reservation window for guests from 90 days out to 180 days out to make a reservation.  January will be here before you know it and your May dates might ensure some seatings at some of the more popular restaurants!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
