Been to DIsney MANY times but our first cruise is in Jan to E. Carib. Family loves Disney secrets like hidden mickeys, and other interesting stories or don't miss details. Is there a guide for this kind of thing for the cruise line? So excited!!!!

    Hi, Jenifer!

My family and I are big fans of the back stories and "hidden treasures" which fill Disney parks and destinations as well as the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) ships. In fact, we've become friends with Steve and Vickie Barrett -- he literally wrote the book on Hidden Mickeys and she manages the social media angle of the Hidden Mickey "community." Steve has a series of books on his website (hiddenmickeysguide.com) which even includes clues and games about DCL, Hidden Mickeys Go to Sea.

In addition, some other friends of mine -- Dave and Jennifer Marx -- have a great go-to website and guidebook series, Passporter's and PassPorter.com.  They have a ton of information about the ships and ports of call of DCL as well as handy tips, too.

Occasionally, there are tours or talks given by special guests on board. For instance, the last time we were on board the Disney Wonder, we were privileged to be sailing with an imagineer from Disneyland who gave an informational tour about various artwork displayed throughout the ship and its origins. You'll need to study your daily Personal Navigator (newsletter/schedule) for where and when something like this may occur on your ship and itinerary.

I hope I've helped, and please let me know if other questions pop into your head before you sail. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
