Hi there, Catherine, and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your Christmas trip planning question to us. It's always a good time to plan for holiday cheer!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a highlight during the holiday season at Walt Disney World. They pull out all the stops to make it merry and bright with complimentary cookie and beverage stations (I happen to love the apple cider), Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show and more. I'm so excited that the dates of your trip are likely to align with party dates. You're going to have the merriest and most magical time enjoying all the party has to offer including snow on Main Street, U.S.A. Before all the holiday fun begins, though, let's talk about tickets.
Dates haven't been announced yet for this year's parties or for when tickets will go on sale. I did a little digging, though, and found that last year, tickets went on sale starting July 22. While I can't say for sure if this year's tickets will be offered around that same time, this gives you an idea of when to start making your lists and checking them twice. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. That's usually the first place information like this is announced.
Disney Jollywood Nights is another great event to keep an eye out for. This will be its fourth year, and it seems like it grows in popularity every year. I attended this event in its second year, and I was absolutely blown away by the entertainment and the food and beverage offerings. As a lifelong fan of The Muppets, Disney Holidays in Hollywood felt like a love letter just to me. There was even an ice skating show called Glisten! Did you ever think you could watch ice skating outside in Florida? Disney Imagineers made it happen. One final favorite of mine was the Twilight Soiree at the Tip Top Club, right outside of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It felt like I had truly taken a step back in time to glitzy and glamourous holidays of yesteryear.
Catherine, I hope you're able to secure your party tickets, and please come back to planDisney with any other questions you have.
Have a magical and merry trip!
Melanie
