We're going 2 Disney for the very 1st time only for 1 day to celebrate my son's 4th birthday. That's on Sept 12th. I want 2 know how to get the most in Magic Kingdom in 1 day & if there is something that I can do or reserve for his birthday with Mickey

    Hi Ruth!

You can meet Mickey Mouse in Town Square on Main Street USA. It will be in the large building on the right after you enter the Magic Kingdom under the train tracks. You can also have a meal with Mickey at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. The resort is a short monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom. If interested, be sure to make a reservation.

You are going during a relatively quiet time of the year which is perfect for a first time visit. To help you make the most of your visit, I recommend picking up the tour book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal. It is a great book full of information and tips, but not over whelming.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions.
