Hey there, Jackie! Thanks so much for swinging by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you may need to change plans for your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Let me provide some information that will hopefully help you.
While
theme park tickets are non-refundable, they have a long life before they expire. For instance, most multi-day tickets purchased in 2022 which have not been used yet will not expire until January 12, 2024. There are some exceptions, hence I recommend having a look at the
eTicket terms and conditions, or you can
contact Ticket Services via phone or the “Chat with Us” feature in the
Disneyland mobile app. This will help you understand exactly when your ticket will expire.
Also, it’s good to note that an expired, unused ticket can be applied towards purchasing a new ticket at an equal or higher price. I appreciate this kind of flexibility that comes with theme park tickets. I once applied the value of an expired ticket towards a new ticket purchase myself.
Jackie, if I may offer another tip for your next visit, I highly recommend trying
mobile ordering for meals and snacks. You'll save a lot of time waiting! My family and I have been using this quite a bit in the past few visits. When we are in line for an attraction, we look at mobile ordering options nearby and place the order for an arrival window that falls around the time we will come off the attraction. Our favorite mobile order is
Mickey-shaped Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar, which we time to pick up after we exit our swashbuckling adventure on
Pirates of the Caribbean!
I hope your next visit is magical and memorable. Come back and see us if you have more questions, we’re all EARS!
