Hi, i am going to be in disney on 12-7 thru 12-14, i missed the free dining plan by 3 days :( Am i able to book 2 reservations to save the money? Or is it not worth it having 2 reservations? Just confused on what i should do thanks :)

    Hi, Katie!

I have tried so many ways to make a situation like yours work to swing the Free Dining, but it never is advantageous in the end.  Because you need to include park tickets with your package to qualify for the Free Dining, it always ends up costing more buying 2 sets of tickets.  By checking in with one reservation, you can simply add on a 6 or 7 day ticket or whatever you plan for.  With two reservations, you will need to buy 2 - 3 day tickets.  Any savings you will get from the Free Dining will be spent on the ticket split since the price "per day" on tickets really drops once you hit Day 4.

If you want to try to price it out, you can do so online or by calling a Disney Reservationist at (407)W-DISNEY.  They, I'm sure, are used to this situation.  I think in the end for simplicity and for value, you are best sticking with one reservation and not getting the Free Dining.  I know it is not the answer you wanted, but I know you will be happy with your current vacation options.  Good luck, and enjoy your December vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
