I am going to Disney i think in August of septmber i want ot ask is it going to be very very hot

    Hello, Emily!

We head to Walt Disney World in August many years, and while yes, it's hot, there are many ways to stay cool despite the temperature outside. The average August high is 92 and the average September high is 90, but it's a humid kind of heat, so you should plan accordingly.

When we're in WDW in the summer heat, we always pack breathable garments. We each have our own water bottle, too, which I fill with ice, then top off with water. The kids each bring a spray bottle / fan combo., which they like to tease Mom and Dad with (little do they know that we're HAPPY when they squirt us!) and everyone wears a hat to keep the sun off our faces. When our children were in strollers, we made sure to bring the type (or rent them) that provide shade, and brought a clip-on fan, which was directed right at the little one's face during the hottest hours.

Now, you can also plan your days according to hottest hours. Head to the parks as early as possible each morning. Head back to your resort for a swim  when the sun is at its hottest. Stay hydrated with cool drinks and refreshing desserts. Plan your meals to be in air-conditioned locations. Spread out your visits to air-conditioned attractions evenly throughout the day, so that you never go for several hours straight out in the sun. Do your souvenir shopping when it's hottest outside, too, since the stores are all beautifully air-conditioned.

If you plan your days correctly, yes, it will be hot, but the heat won't get the best of you. You'll still have a fabulous time as you explore all that Walt Disney World has to offer.

Please send more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help!
