Hi, we are going to Disney for Thanksgiving. We always stay at Pop Century, but love to visit other resorts. We have been to all the value resorts. We were VERY disappointed when we visited the Beach Club! What would be the BEST resort to visit?

    Hi Patti,

Since you'll be in Walt Disney World over Thanksgiving, I would suggest going to the Wilderness Lodge. This resort is spectacular any time of the year but during the holidays it's simply enchanting. You'll marvel at the gigantic Christmas tree, poinsettias, wreaths and garlands. Enjoy the beautiful lobby before walking out back to view Fire Rock geyser. The walk to the boat dock is beautiful due to the trees and rustic decor.

I understand about your visit to the Beach Club. While this resort is wonderful for a stay, it's not quite as impressive for touring. During a stay, you would be able to enjoy the wonderful pool, Stormalong Bay, as well as have the option to walk or boat to Epcot and the Hollywood Studios.

The best resort for touring will depend on your interests and preference in decor. One of my favorite resorts is the Grand Floridian but the Victorian decor isn't for everyone. The tree at holiday-time is quite impressive!

Another awesome hotel for touring is The Animal Kingdom Lodge. The lobby is breathtaking. Visit the Sunset Room, wander the trails near Arusha Rock to see the animals, check out the outdoor firepit and browse the store.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving in WDW!
