Aloha Brandie!
It looks like you will be heading to the most magical place on earth very soon! You must be over the moon excited.
Kona Cafe is a fabulous dining spot within
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Their array of sushi, Asian inspired main dishes, and delicious steaks makes this a favorite for our family. While I think the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is a practically perfect topper to a great dinner at Kona Cafe, I would be a bit concerned about the tight time frame. I typically recommend arriving for a Fireworks Cruise of any type at least 15 minutes early. Even if you were seated exactly on time and spend only an hour enjoying your dinner, you would still only have 20 minutes to get to the Transportation and Ticket Center to meet up with your cruise. While it is just a 10-minute walk, any delay in being seated or during your dinner service could pose a challenge.
It is definitely do-able, but since I want you to get the most out of your dining experience, I would suggest seeing if you can get your dinner pushed back a bit. If that isn't possible, I recommend arriving at the restaurant opens at 5:00. Make sure and inform your server that you are on a bit of a time crunch. You can view the menu ahead of time to make your choices so you can order more quickly. Also, if you are not familiar with the walkway to the Transportation and Ticket Center make sure and ask a Cast Member for directions to avoid any confusion.
I hope this helps with your planning and that you have a fabulous evening enjoying both Kona Cafe and the Ferrytale Firework Cruise!
See ya real soon,
Anne
