Hi Disney Moms. After much talk we are inviting a friend to join our daughter on our annual Disney vaca. Both girls will be 16. Any thoughts on free time for the girls on their own versus family time with us all together? It is still our family vaca, too.

    Hi Tracy!

Wow, it sound like you have a great Walt Disney World vacation planned for your family and your daughter's friend!  My son is 16 years old and I have been giving him more liberty to go off on his own during our Walt Disney World vacations.  A good idea is to maybe let the girls head off for an afternoon or evening together where they can choose what they want to do or see.  You could meet together for meals.  I have started the first half of the day with my family when we had a larger group and then after lunch we split up to do different things.  We then met for dinner and spent the evening together.  This strategy seemed to work really well because everyone got to do what they wanted to do and we still had family time together.

I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
