Hello Disney Moms! We am super excited to introduce our 3 and 2 years old boys to WDW. As much as we hate to do it, we may have to buy harnesses for both our boys. Does anyone have any experience with child harnesses? Do we really need them?

    Hi James!

We have 2 boys that sound like they are about the same age difference as yours (ours are much older now), but I remember that stage very well!  We never used harnesses in the parks, we always used our double stroller as the 'safe place' place for our kids.  Ours loved to walk, but were taught from an early age, that if they were going to walk, they needed to hold a hand or the stroller.  I was frequently out solo with both (or all three) of our children, so it was something that we taught from the very beginning, so it worked for us.

If you have enthusiastic explorers, and are worried about their safety, by all means, use the harnesses.  Just be sure to get them now, and work with them on as far as expectations and rules.  This will work out much better than trying to get them accustomed to something new while on vacation.  Make sure that they get plenty of experience time in crowds of people, once they're used to the harness; this will help you with maneuvering the harness as well.

    Have a magical vacation!
