Hi Kathryn,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!
I really think that the
Disney Water Parks are the hidden gems of Walt Disney World. My little guy has loved every splashtacular second that he has spent there, ever since was an itty bitty baby! The question of whether your little one will be able to go on some of the more thrilling attractions will depend on his height. Several of the
attractions at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and the attractions at
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park are suitable for guests of “any height” (go to the drop down filter), which means that your little one will be able to enjoy those attractions. Unless he’s at least 32 inches tall, however, you’ll likely have to bypass any attractions with height requirements.
You’ll be happy to know that the “kiddie pool areas”,
Ketchakiddee Creek at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and
Tike’s Peak at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, do have some small slides of their own that the entire family can enjoy. I’d especially recommend Tike’s Peak for your family as your older child may find more to do there.
I hope my answer helps you plan a wonderful day at the water parks for your family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
