Is Disney strict with the minimum age requirement (12 according to website) for the Painting on de’ Bayou at POFQ?

Hello Candace! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I love being a Disney Parks Moms because it allows me to learn so much (more) about the activities Walt Disney World Resort from inquiries such as yours.

While I believe that Disney's Port Orleans Resorts offer the most fun recreational activities on the property, I was unaware of the Painting on de Bayou activity going on every Wednesday Night at Scat Cat's Club. Having now done some research, I can inform you of what I have discovered.

With age-restricted activities, Walt Disney World Resort is pretty firm on Guests being of the required age at the time of the experience. My daughter had to wait for future trips before she could take part in both Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Pirate Adventure Cruises as she did not meet the age requirement at the time. The Painting on de Bayou Activity requires guests to be 12 years old and I would expect Cast Members booking Reservations to enforce that age-restriction.

As it never hurts to inquire, you could always speak to a Cast Member at (407)939-7529 and plead your case, however, I have been denied both times I have tried to bypass these restrictions. That is the same number you would call to make Reservations.

    Good luck!
