    Will the Disney stores allow you to return new merchandise without a receipt?

    Hi, there!

     Whitney, it looks like you have an upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort planned. How very exciting!

     Do you love shopping as much as I do? There are over 300 retail locations at the Walt Disney World Resort - you really can shop 'til you drop! If you purchase something from a Disney-owned store at Disney Springs or any of the theme parks, and you're struck with buyer's remorse, you can return the item without a receipt in exchange for merchandise credit. Please note that if too many days have passed, the item may not be accepted for return. I recently purchased a Minnie bow headband from World of Disney at Disney Springs, and realized shortly afterwards that my head and those headbands are not compatible (bummer!). I had tossed my receipt, but I was able to return the headband to The Emporium at Magic Kingdom Park. I received the merchandise credit without a problem, and used the credit to buy some great souvenirs to take home!

     One of my absolute favorite shops I like to visit during our Walt Disney World Resort vacations is Uptown Jewelers on Main Street, U.S.A. This fabulous retail location has gorgeous bags, jewelry, watches and artwork - perfect for Disney fans. Be sure to check it out when you visit Magic Kingdom Park!
