Is there a Disney Store at the terminal, before getting on the ship? I've been constantly looking at the ShopDisney website for lanyards and autograph books, but they are constantly "sold out" on them. I want to get them before boarding.

    Hi there, Derek!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  It appEARs that you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the Disney Dream planned!  I am so excited for you and know you must be thrilled as well for some fun in the sun!  I hope you are already thinking about you Halloween costume to bring onboard with you for the always-fun Mickey’s Mousequerade Party!  That is undoubtedly my favorite activity during the Halloween on the High Seas itineraries!  While it’s completely optional to dress up, it’s always fun to dress up in costume since Mickey and Friends will be in their costumes, too!

One of the things I always recommend to first-time Guests is to bring a lanyard; so, you are already one step ahead of me!  Since you will want to have your Key to the World with you anytime you leave your stateroom, but likely won’t always be carrying a bag or backpack with you, it’s a lanyard to the rescue!  Unfortunately, there are not any shops at the Disney Cruise Line terminal at Port Canaveral prior to embarkation where you can purchase items before getting onboard.  And since the onboard shops are required to be closed when at ports of call, they will not open until later in the evening – once you’ve headed to sea.  But they do have both lanyards AND autograph books available for purchase (along with TONS of other MUST HAVE souvenirs) in the shops, if you choose to wait.  If not, I would recommend continuing to look online or even stop into a retail store if you have one nearby.  Or, another option that my boys and I love to do before hand is make our own autograph books for characters to sign!  We always make it like a scrapbook with the ports we will be visiting and leave a spot for the picture they get with the character so that it is not only an autograph book but a memory book too!  Another thought – if you happen to be flying into Orlando International Airport, they do have a Disney Store there you can stop into!

Please come back with any other questions you may have as you continue planning for your adventure with Captain Mickey!

    Happy Sailing!
