Are Disney Store Gift cards the same as Disney gift cards that i can use in the park, to buy tix, and meals at Disney World?

Hi, Melissa - welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are able to use Disney gift cards for nearly everything throughout Walt Disney World. In fact, my boys ask for Disney gift cards for their birthday and Christmas so that they can have their own spending money while on vacation. This is a great way for them to budget their souvenir spending - when they are out of money on their cards, they know they are all done! They also tend to make better decisions on their purchases when it is their own money. You may purchase the gift cards at the Disney Store. I also have some friends who purchase Disney gift cards each time they go to Target to help save for their Walt Disney World vacation. They have used their cards for Theme Park Admission tickets as well as food purchases. If you have a Red Card you can save a little bit on the gift cards, too! I think this is a wonderful idea to save for your trip little by little.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Melissa!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
