    At the Disney Store, for Disney Cruise Line, they told me about a gift program where you sit a bag outside your door and you also bring gifts to give. Can anyone please tell me more about this?

    You will soon be joining Captain Mickey on a fabulous cruise in just a FEW DAYS. I am so excited for you! Cruising with Disney Cruise Line is a wonderful way to relax, reconnect with family, and party like you never have before. I believe that you are asking about the “Fish Extenders” gift exchanges onboard.  This is not an official Disney Cruise Line activity. Some cruisers look for a way to make friends before the cruise begins and meet online prior to their sail date.  They spend time chatting and finding out about each other’s families, and then they decide to take part in a gift exchange. They will bring aboard “Fish Extenders,” which are decorated pockets, and hang them from their doors in order to collect gifts. Some families prepare for the gift exchanges for several weeks before the cruise, so I am not sure if you will have the time to do it. The first step is to meet other folks going on your cruise. Many guests use Facebook and type in their sail date and vessel to find a group. You then ask for permission to join in. The Dis Boards also has an online forum and there are many, many more.
