So Mom's - I am at Disney (staying off property). I need a place in Magic Kingdom for lunch. No characters - will do that two times this week already. Would rather sit down than counter order. Ate at Tony's already too! Any other good ideas?

    Hi Heather,

There are a couple of other places at the Magic Kingdom that offer table-service that you might want to consider.  The Plaza Restaurant is located at the end of Main Street next to The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.  They offer sandwiches, burgers and an incredibly yummy Chicken Strawberry Salad.  Save room for dessert too - I love their cheesecake. If you'd like to preview their menu, click on the link provided above.

The Liberty Tree Tavern also offers table-service for lunch.  This location is no longer a character dining location.  The lunch menu is a la carte and is different than the family style menu offered during dinner.  You can check out their menu on the link I've provided.

Reservations for both The Plaza Restaurant and Liberty Tree Tavern are recommended and can be made online (see their links above) or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  Reservations are accepted beginning 180 days prior to your dates of travel.

Although its counter service, another of my favorites is the Columbia Harbor House.  It offers options other than the burger and fries option at some of the other counter service locations.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
