Hi Disney moms, We are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort in August, 2 adults to children 15 & 12. We have the Q.S.D.P. Could you please tell me about the resort and especially how the dining plan works at Pepper Market and Cafe Rix. Any advice?

    Hi Claire,

Coronado Springs is a beautiful resort.  It's quite large and surrounds its own lake with sandy beaches, water craft, and hammocks for lounging.  The main pool is a themed as a Mayan Dig Site - really fun!

The quick service dining plan allows you to get an entree, a dessert and a beverage.  At Cafe Rix it's really straight forward.  You'll order an entree, and there are pastries to choose from for dessert. I think there also might be gelato. Then you choose a beverage.  The process is similar at Pepper Market; however, if you get confused as to what qualifies as an entree, simply ask a cast member.  They'll be happy to help.

When I was at Coronado Springs in January, they had switched lunch to a buffet which wasn't included on the quick service plan.  However, there were a multitude of options at Cafe Rix.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
