When is Disney going to start opening up more restaurants, including quick service options? And do they have any plans to reinstate the Disney Dining plan for 2021?

Hey Johnny! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a question about your October trip. We're always happy to help.

Believe me when I tell you that I, too, am eager for a return to pre-pandemic conditions. Maybe I can only speak for myself here, but tasting my way around Walt Disney World has always been one of the best parts of a trip. Am I right or am I right? Unfortunately, we really don't have any indication of when additional restaurants, whether table service or quick service, will reopen in the Disney parks and resort hotels. The same is true of the Disney Dining Plan; we just don't know when that will be an option again. Count me in with those who are eagerly awaiting that announcement! All of that said, though, there really are a lot of great (and delicious!) options available right now, both in the parks and resorts. Whether you have your heart set on a Mickey Bar or a DOLE Whip, you can treat your taste buds to some classic Disney treats.

Keeping a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog will help you stay up to date on the most recent announcements, including any changes to available restaurants and resort hotels. You can also specifically check on the attractions, restaurants and shops that are currently available within the theme parks as well as learn more about which restaurants are open in Disney's resort hotels

No matter what, Johnny, I'm wishing you and yours a magical and tasty trip!
