Hi Holly! Welcome back to planDisney.
There are so many
benefits to staying in the magic at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I love staying on property at the Walt Disney World Resort hotel because that’s where the story comes alive, and I don’t want to leave for one second. Benefits like Disney hospitality, Mickey-shaped treats in the dining locations, a host of magical transportation options, and the early theme park entry benefit coming soon all come together to make it the only choice for my family.
The
early theme park entry benefit announced earlier this year is part of
The World’s Most Magical Celebration in honor of the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary, which will begin on October 1, 2021. We don’t have any information about exactly when the benefit will begin; it was announced as “later this year,” and we’re eagerly watching for updates. The
Disney Parks Blog is my favorite source of official news about new procedures, operations, and fun things like the most delicious new treats and must-have merchandise. I would keep reading there for the very latest news.
For your upcoming visit, many Guests are finding that the theme parks are opening a little before the official opening time. Part of the reason for this is to avoid crowds forming at the entrance gates, allowing for physical distancing. This may not mean that attractions are operating that early, but one of my favorite things to do is to get a coffee or treat (hello, giant pink donut from Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea) and explore, enjoying the cooler morning air, the lovely background music, and the Disney details all around the theme parks. I recommend checking with a Cast Member at your resort hotel when you arrive to get the scoop on the latest operating procedures, when to queue for transportation, and other tips and tricks for squeezing every drop of magic out of your vacation.
Have so much fun in just a few weeks, Holly! If you think of any further questions as you plan and dream, please come back and see us.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
