Is Disney Springs within walking distance of Port Orleans Riverside?

Hi Jeremy, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I am so glad you are planning to visit Disney Springs while you are at Walt Disney World. Some of my very favorite restaurants are located here. More often than not, when I am at Walt Disney World, I find myself spending the evenings in this area enjoying all of the great meals, drinks and treats to be had here.

From Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, there are a couple of transportation options to Disney Springs.  While you wont be able to walk, you can take a scenic complimentary water taxi down the Sassagoula River to and from Disney Springs. This boat ride is especially wonderful in the evening and boasts stunning views when everything is all lit up. You will also be able to take the complimentary bus service to and from Disney Springs from your resort.  Just in case it's exercise you're after, you may be interested in the 1.7 mile long jogging trail that connects Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter along the river that is available for you to enjoy.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
