Hi Gail!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with such a festive question.
The holidays at Walt Disney World are nothing short of dazzling, and spending Thanksgiving, the official holiday kick-off for most folks, at the most magical place on earth sounds like a holly jolly time!
Gail, I’m happy to report that YES,
Disney Springs is open on Thanksgiving Day! Most shops and restaurants typically operate with their regular hours. That was true in 2024, and you can expect the same this year. The only thing fuller than the stores might be our tummies after a holiday meal!
If you’re planning a Thanksgiving visit, Disney Springs is such a festive spot to soak up the holiday atmosphere. You could kick off the day with a special meal at spots like The Boathouse or
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, where Southern comfort food feels just right for the holiday. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Gideon’s Bakehouse might tempt you with seasonal treats (and their cookies are practically the size of a turkey leg!). And a personal fave,
Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar will have special holiday theming not only on their menu, but throughout the entire restaurant!
After dinner, you can stroll through the Christmas Tree Stroll. Each tree is themed to a different Disney story, while sipping a hot cocoa or a Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew from
Joffrey’s. And if you want to walk off that feast with a little fun, you can always catch live music, do some early holiday shopping, or even bowl a few rounds at
Splitsville.
So yes, not only is Disney Springs open, but it’s sleigh-ing with festive fun, making it the perfect place to spend part of your Thanksgiving day!
Wishing you a holiday that’s as magical as a slice of pumpkin pie with extra whipped-cream!
Hope you have a very merry visit! And don’t hesitate to come back again to see us if you have any more planning questions!
