Hiya Scott!
Thanks so much for reaching out to planDisney with your gift card question.
Disney Gift Cards are truly one of our favorite ways to sprinkle a little pixie dust on our trips! In our family, they’re our go-to gift for birthdays, holidays, and even trip countdown surprises. My kiddos love saving theirs up and getting to make their own magical purchases around the parks—it’s a great way to teach them independence with a little Disney flair! And yes, they can even be used toward park tickets, which makes them even more magical.
Now let’s dive into your question! While there isn’t an official list of which restaurants or shops in
Disney Springs do not accept Disney Gift Cards, I did speak with a helpful Cast Member who shared that most locations do accept them, especially those owned and operated by Disney. However, a few third-party operated locations might not, so your best bet is to check directly with the specific restaurant before dining.
From my own family’s experience, we’ve used Disney Gift Cards at spots like The
BOATHOUSE (their rolls are chef's kiss),
Rainforest Café, and
T-REX without any issues. We also dined at
Jaleo recently and used our gift cards. There, the tapas were delicious and full of flavor!
And Scott, while you're exploring Disney Springs, don't miss the made-to-order artisanal s’mores at
The Ganachery. They're gooey, chocolatey, and big enough to share—though I won’t judge if you want to keep it all to yourself!
I know this might not be the exact answer you were hoping for, but I do hope it helps you feel a little more prepared. If you have any more questions as you get ready for your next Disney day, we’re always happy to help!
See ya real soon!
